Losing Weight is not Linear, it’s Exponential:

Not much going on this week with the transformation, but two key points:

I had 2 B-day dinners in the last week + celebrating my last birthday in my 20's at the bars
Losing body fat isn't a linear progression

I'm not Bill Nye, so not a science guy, but from experience of losing body fat, it is exponential.

If you are struggling with sticking points..

Double check you are executing your 4 goals ~80% of the time (or more) then give it an extra 2-3 weeks.

Adjust for these exponential moments and keep grinding it out.

Ride the Wave: Listen to your body

“Listen to your body” it’s the most important skill you can develop for the longevity of this game called fitness.

Problem is most peoples bodies are sending out false signals due to insulin sensitivity (do you get hangry?) and habitual patterns (identify as a late night snacked or sweets person)

These are identities I’ve given myself in the past and let me tell ya. It’s all self-proclaimed. You can change your identity at any point. (self beliefs)

Once you get the right image of where you are going and who you want to be then it’s reps over weeks.

After a few months you can start “listening to your body” your mind won’t play tricks on you. It will give you real signals.

Follow them.

Creates bliss.

That's exactly what I have been doing. This is the first time I’ve cut weight for summer and I haven’t tracked a single calorie. (And you have seen some of my poor weekend habits)

In the last week,

I felt like I was going through a 2nd "flat" phase.

So what did I do?

I listened to my body, I didn't try to kill myself in the gym to get through that feeling. Or over eat from that "shrinking" feeling.

I instead focused on my body telling me,

I'm trying to lose fat so double down.

Meaning..

I increased my step count, spent way less time in the gym, got more sun, and prioritized sleep.

I have felt great this whole time.

Most people think of cutting weight as torture but I swear it can be effortless after you develop the 4 key habits paired with the skill of listening to your body.

(Step count this week)

My Diet:

Huge diet hack is to create meals that you enjoy and then keep them in rotation.

1PM -- I eat about the same thing -- 2 rounds of buttered up eggs (4-8) with potatoes tossed in olive oil

Around 7 -- rotate between Cheeseburger and fries , steak and fries, or Sushi (Salmon avocado spicy Mayo with the rice)

sub out meals as they get boring, have a plan.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result:

I'm reaching a sticking point that I won't breakthrough if I keep doing the same thing I've been doing for the past month.

Drinking kills my testosterone, sleep, and productivity.

So what’s the trade off I want to make?

Well I still want to go out with friends and watch the new MLS soccer team on a beautiful Saturday night in St. Louis.. so I make a plan (I have a plan for literally everything, my ex hated that lol) but this shit works so..

5 drinks and grabbing waters from the bar -- when it’s gone, it’s gone.

I'm right on schedule.

I had a plan at the start of this 8 week transformation newsletter and everything is going according to that plan.

Now it's time for the part of the plan where I make the next jump.
